Healing a Divided Nation Starts With Us

If you'd like to share, please download this flyer at the bottom of this post!

Every time I see a political post on social media, my heart drops. No matter the poster's intentions or care, a constructive conversation is impossible. Responses are over-simplified, impulsive, often cruel. In the end, no one feels good, no one has learned, and nothing has changed. At The Dinner Party we believe that Americans can do better. We believe that doing better is a necessary step toward building stronger communities and a stronger nation.

We are looking for opinions, articles, videos, and stories from Americans who, however scared, or hurt, or frustrated they may be, want to really talk about our country. We want to hear from good people who believe that our country is full of good people, even when that feels hard to see. We want to know what kind of place you want the United States to be, and to foster kinder, longer, and more constructive conversations than those possible on social media. The Dinner Party aims to be a space where we can speak, listen, and ask genuine questions of our fellow citizens. The editors at The Dinner Party are committed to publishing opinions we agree with and opinions we disagree with, in big ways and small. We want to hear from any American who is also ready to listen. If this is you, please see our guidelines and our submission form on the Submission page on this website. You can find it using the page tabs above.

We can't wait to hear from you! Submissions before Jan. 13th will be considered for our Inaugural Edition!

We welcome you to share our URL or our downloadable flyer (below) with friends, family, or anyone you would like to hear from.
